Limiting beliefs are not facts or absolute truth. They are thoughts, opinions, or ideas that you hold consciously, or most commonly unconsciously,  that may hold you back from achieving your desired reality. 

We’re not limiting ourselves by believing that all limiting beliefs are negative. 

Some are needed to…well…limit you from doing something stupid that wouldn’t serve you -and actually might make you serve time! For example, if you hold the belief that killing someone is wrong, then that belief will limit you from karate chopping someone’s head off when they cut you in the coffee shop line! 

On the contrary though, if you hold the belief that it’s rude to speak up for yourself or that confrontation is bad, then in that same example that belief will limit you from getting to work on time because five other people will have cut you. That limiting belief limits the respect people may have for you, making it easy for them to overstep your boundaries. 

It might seem funny when applied to a coffee shop example, but it’s no joke when that same core limiting belief starts to rear its ugly head in every aspect of your life from love to finances and especially to your career as an entrepreneur wanting to earn millions. 

In this article, you will learn 3 limiting beliefs holding you back from abundance that you might not even believe that you believe until we tell you why not to believe them anymore! 

The point is, the more you start limiting yourself less, the more you’ll realize that you are limitless!

The key to shifting your mindset from a “poor me” mentality to millionaire mentality starts with… yup, you guessed it… your mental. 

You can have a MILLION reasons why you can’t be a millionaire and they will limit you from ever becoming one. Or, you could have just ONE belief that it’s possible for you and the ways in which it can become your reality becomes limitless. You can have your mind set -unwilling to change or challenge what you think and believe-  and you will stay exactly where you are. Or, you can change your mindset. 

In other words, if you are open to understanding where you are closing your mind, then you will realize that you are a creator. Once you realize that you are a creator, a master manifestor, then you will understand that you can create new beliefs that are conducive to creating success, prosperity, health, wealth, happiness and all the wonderful things you truly deserve. You are in control of creating the life that you wish to live. 

When you combine positive abundant energy, with a positive abundance mindset, and an abundance of aligned actions (like no longer thinking the below 3 limiting beliefs), then abundance is the only natural outcome!

So, stop believing these and you’ll be on your way to becoming a money magnet!

  1. The sky is the limit

If you think the sky is the limit, then you close off the possibility for you to ever reach beyond it. What could possibly be beyond the sky?

An ocean of space? Clusters of cosmos? Heaven? Answers? A vast void or black hole? WHO KNOWS?!

The point is, whether you believe in different dimensions, galaxies, and multiverses or not, all we know is that we don’t know. But just because you can’t see something, doesn’t mean it doesn’t exist. For example, you know there are millions of dollars waiting in the world, but you don’t see it in your bank account.

It’s not a question of does it exist. Everything exists at all times; energy can not be created or destroyed. There are infinite possibilities. It’s more of a question of if or when you will personally experience it.

That is why belief is so powerful! Your belief that something exists is what makes it possible for you to experience it.

Why stop at the sky when you could be living a life that is out of this world?

 

  1. The struggle is real

The struggle is only as real as you believe it to be. It’s a self fulfilling prophecy. The more you think that you must struggle- that you must fight and that you must martyr or self sacrifice- then the more your life experiences will mirror that belief back to you.

The universe wants to help you and show that it loves you. It wants to honor your limiting belief by giving you as many chances to struggle as it can! It doesn’t care what choice you make – to struggle or not struggle.  It only cares to support whatever you choose to believe.

Choose to believe that you don’t have to struggle. Choose to believe that your success can come to you with every antonym possible in a thesaurus for struggle! 

Because despite the odds of countless souls competing, yours made it to this earth in real human form easily. There is literally nothing harder to do than that, so the “real struggle” was over the minute you were born.

  1. I can’t (insert anything here)

I can’t have that. I can’t spell. I can’t start my own business. I can’t sell.  (Side note: If you actually say that, then at least you can’t say that you can’t rhyme!) 

As Henry Ford once said, “Whether you think you can or you can’t, you are right!”

Whatever you choose to put after the words, “I can’t” is most likely a negative limiting belief. 

Here’s an example of how thinking you can’t do something then becomes a belief that will prove yourself right!

It all starts with a thought.

In this example, the thought is, “I can’t lose weight.”

The thought then brings up certain emotions.

The thought of not being able to lose weight provokes feelings of helplessness, frustration, and sadness.

Those emotions then create your actions. 

Because you’re sad and frustrated you decide to skip the gym. You decide to take the elevator instead of the stairs. You decide to watch cat videos on YouTube instead of consuming inspirational books, podcasts, or material that will help educate you on nutrition ideas that fit your lifestyle.

Those actions then lead to results. 

Let’s say you actually gain a couple pounds or overall just feel like a sausage being stuffed into its casing! In other words, your results prove to yourself that you were right all along- you can’t lose weight!

Repeat. 

In this example, you still have the thought that you can’t lose weight, this still makes you feel helpless, frustrated, and sad, you still choose behaviors that reinforce that thought, you still get results that prove you right and it’s a cycle! The more times the cycle is repeated, the more it solidifies that thought as an actual belief! 

That belief – or your internal reality– then drives automatic behavior. Your brain is trying to do you a favor by not even having to think the thought anymore. It just skips this step and it’s on autopilot looking for every way to make that belief true in your physical reality. 

The good news is that this cycle works the same way with anything you put after, “I can!” 

So, the only time we want to hear you say, “I can’t” moving forward, is when you’re saying, “I can’t wait to start believing that I can!” 

CHANGE YOUR MIND, CHANGE YOUR MONEY

Ironically, limiting beliefs can be unlimited in our everyday vocabulary. 

They can be as straightforward as, “I don’t believe in myself,” or as hidden as can be under fear laden comments like, “You have to have money to make money, bad things always happen to me, that’s just how it is, or I’ve tried everything.”  

Therefore, it’s important to pay attention to what you put after words like, “I should,” “I’m not,” “I’ll never,” or “I don’t.”  And more importantly, it’s crucial to pay attention to how you feel. If a thought or statement makes you feel hopeless, helpless, heartless- or just downright worthless- then don’t limit yourself by accepting it as truth. 

Because the positive thing about negative limiting beliefs is that you have the power to change your mind, literally, which will then change your life by bringing in more change (cha-ching!) And whether you are a millionaire yet or not, that is just PRICELESS!
